This report is intended to provide detailed explanations of the impact of the COVID- 19 pandemic on the ASEAN energy sector. It also examines the potential recovery trajectory to meet the energy transition agenda.
Not only does it provide an overview energy situation in ASEAN amidst the pandemic, but this report also investigates country-by-country, with in-depth case studies for Indonesia and Vietnam. This publication assists ASEAN in achieving a sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic while realising its aspirational energy target. Given the importance of the energy sector in driving ASEAN countries towards economic integration and a prosperous region, bold measures to support the energy sector are not only desirable, but it is also necessary.
