Summary
ASEAN SPARKS (Shaping Pioneers to Accelerate the Rise of Climate Tech Solutions) is a regional innovation and capacity-building programme designed to strengthen clean energy and climate technology entrepreneurship across ASEAN. Jointly implemented by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with funding support from the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), the programme targets early-stage startups, particularly micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to strengthen market alignment, technology validation, business model development, mentorship engagement, and investment readiness.
This knowledge report documents and synthesises the structured learning content delivered under Catalyse, the main accelerator training phase of ASEAN SPARKS programme. The training modules equip cleantech founders with structured strategic, financial, operational, and asset-management frameworks across programme stages. The report is intended as a practical reference for programme stakeholders such as future facilitators, mentors, judges, trainers, and partner institutions, supporting knowledge transfer, consistency, and scalability, while reinforcing alignment with ASEAN energy transition priorities and gender inclusion objectives.
