The Best Practices in Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) is a publication prepared by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) to disseminate the various experiences and initiatives in the ASEAN Member States (AMS) that have been found effective in the region’s search for systematic energy management techniques and sustainable energy efficiency measures. In this edition of Best Practices, we feature the outstanding works and achievements of the 2017 Awardees in the ASEAN Energy Awards for EE&C that have played a key role in reducing energy consumption across the sector. ACE hopes that this publication will serve as a useful reference document to encourage energy users in the AMS to adopt EE&C measures, which are expected to enhance energy security, economic competitiveness, and environmental sustainability.

The publication was developed by the ASEAN-German Energy Programme (AGEP), a jointly implemented programme by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
