ADB’s Southeast Asia Energy Department (SEEN) is holding a virtual workshop as part of the Southeast Asia Development (SEADS) Symposium. The SEEN virtual workshop will run on March 18, 2021, with the title “Clean Energy Transition as an Engine for Green Recovery”

Dr Nuki Agya Utama, the Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) is invited as one of the panellists for the 2nd session.

Session 2: ADBs Energy Policy Consultation

Time: 14:00 – 17:30 (Manila GMT+8)

ADB is updating its energy policy, which is instrumental in guiding the bank’s investment portfolio focus to support DMC development, with a target of finalisation for Board consideration at the end of 2021. This session will provide an opportunity for experts and participants to share views on the opportunities and challenges in the Southeast Asian energy sector and how ADB can respond and support. Highlights of ADB’s energy investments in the last 10 years, as well as areas for improvement from the previous energy policy (covering 2009-2019), will be provided including initial priorities and insights for the new policy. The session will conclude with an open and interactive conversation among senior peers and seeks to gather feedback to inform the policy development.
