The Philippines Continued the AEMAS Training Course and Certifications Programme

The Energy Efficiency Practitioners Association of the Philippines, Inc. (ENPAP), a partner of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), continued the conduct of ASEAN Energy Management Scheme (AEMAS) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Training Course and Certification. ENPAP conducted Batch 13 of the course on 25-27 April 2018, followed by Batch 14 on 22-24 August 2018 in Alabang, Muntilupa City, Metro Manila. It was attended by management staff of various Philippine companies, from the industries of hospital, food and beverages, power, properties, nutrition, banking, telecommunication, energy service, renewable energy, sugar mill, training consultant, facility engineering equipment supplier and services. The AEMAS training also expounded on ISO-50001 and AEMAS Energy Management Gold Standard (EMGS), a major compliance in industries.

Additionally, ENPAP is also preparing for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Bill which passed the 3rd and final reading in Bicameral Congress in coordination with Department of Energy (DOE). Major provision includes mandatory requirement of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Energy Efficiency Conservation Officer (CEECO) in establishment depending on its annual power consumption.
